A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Standards for the electrical and physical safety of all office equipment, communicating or stand-alone, have existed for many years, and are conformed to by responsible manufacturers. Our concern here, however, is with those standards whose aim is to provide the basis for effective electronic communication between office equipment systems — advanced PABXs, local area networks (LANs), public voice, data and integrated services digital networks (ISDN), personal computers, mini and mainframe computers, computer networks and facsimile transmitters.
