Last month's Analysis dealt with the background to the ORBIT-2 study, the four types of survey — organisation, information technology, design strategies and facilities management — and the organisation profiles by which facilities managers could first identify and then rate their own organisation's performance. Where the first part offered guidance on measuring and adapting essentially physical elements, this second article focuses on the role of the facilities manager and offers possible approaches to the facilities management process.
