Method of installing a clamping block assembly for a solar panel and a clamping block
Abstract A method of installing a clamping block for mounting a solar panel to a mounting surface is described. The method includes the steps of: cleaning the mounting surface in an installing position in an area where the clamping block is to be installed; adhering the base surface of the clamping block to the mounting surface at the installed position with an .adhesive; sealing a joint between the base surface of the clamping block and the mounting surface. A clamping block is also described, the clamping block being suitable for clamping a solar panel to a mounting surface, the clamping block including a base surface for mounting to a mounting surface, and a clamping jaw opening which is adapted to receive an edge of a solar panel, the clamping jaw opening being adjustable, wherein the clamping block includes a stem between the base and the clamping jaw opening, the stem being adapted to space the base from the clamping jaw to alleviate heat transfer between the mounting surface and the solar panel when installed in the clamping block. 1 03A 1 03A Fig. 8 Fig. 9
