Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a chassis-less door operator drive motor assembly with an integral fixing surface for direct fixing connection with a roller door 5 drum axle or a sectional door or tilt door drive track. The operator comprises a one piece moulding or casting that has a drive motor spindle bearing support, a gear box casing with a gear box bearing support, a bearing support for an axially rotatable output drive component and the fixing surface, which provide pre-defined and aligned positions for mounting the respective components to maintain these components in 10 interworking positions relative to each other and to the fixing surface.
