The present invention relates to the use of a polymer having formula (XIV) as a dispersing agent for powder-form substances, typically selected from the group consisting of clays, porcelain slip, silicate flour, chalk, carbon black, rock flour, pigments, talc, plastic powders and mineral binding agents. The invention also relates to methods for improving the flow properties of powder-form substances and mixtures containing powder-form substances and polymers having formula (XIV).
