System for operating top down / bottom up covering for architectural openings
A shade material (64) for coverings for architectural openings comprising in combination: a first sheet (86) of shade material having a length and a width, a second sheet (88) of material having a greater length than the first sheet of material (86) and substantially the same width as the first sheet of material (86) and a plurality of parallel continuous lines (90) of hot-melt adhesive extending across the width of one of the first and second sheets of material. The first and second sheets (86, 88) are adhesively secured together at intervals along the continuous lines of adhesive (90) which are activated in the intervals but not in gaps (94) existing between the intervals such that loops (92) of material are formed in the second sheet (88) between the lines of adhesive (90) and the gaps (94) exist along the lines of adhesive (90) between the intervals where the sheets (86, 88) are not secured.
