A fire seal for a door comprising an elongate holder. The holder comprises a base web and a first channel open to a outer face of the holder. The first channel carries an elongate intumescent layer. The holder further comprises a second channel, adjacent a first side of the first channel. The second channel 10 is also open to the outer face of the holder. The second channel supports a first medium temperature smoke resistant barrier extending therefrom for contact with an adjacent surface such as a floor. An elongate brush comprising a plurality of bristles is held adjacent the medium temperature smoke resistant barrier to sweep debris on opening or closing the door. 9 Figure 1
