Hob Moulding System for Cast-in-situ Concrete Building Slabs
A mould and chair combination for the formation of a raised sill or hob on the surface of a cast-in-situ concrete building slab, said mould comprising two generally parallel, continuous side members 5 joined in fixed spatial relationship such that concrete is able to enter from above and pass through said mould to formwork below upon which said slab is to be formed, said sill or hob being contiguous and monolithic with that of said concrete slab; said mould being supported above said formwork upon a plurality of discrete rigid or 10 adjustable chairs, said chairs incorporating locating and attachment elements to receive and be strongly joined to said mould; said mould and said locating and attachment elements acting to reinforce and strengthen said sill or hob, rendering it better able to sustain wind forces imposed upon windows, curtain walls and the like fixed to 15 said sill or hob.
