A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract The present invention provides a haunch connector (11) for connecting a first beam (13) and a second beam (15) together. The haunch connector provides a web (17) and at least one flange (33) extending outwardly from a first edge (21) of the web. The at least one flange has a first projection (39) projecting from a first end (41) of the flange at an angle to the first edge. When the connector receives the first beam a surface (43) of the first projection is adjacent a first side (145) of the first beam. The first projection is adapted to be secured to the first beam to secure the first beam to the haunch connector.
