The present invention relates to a vertical profile (1) for mounting and supporting facade elements (12) on a multi-storey building. The facade element (12) comprises a fastening unit (35) including a pin (36) provided in a recess (37) of the edge of the facade element (12). The vertical profile (1) is provided with a fastening device (24) comprising a second fastening element (26) for fastening to the facade element (12), the second fastening element (26) being designed as a hook adapted to receive the pin (36) of the fastening unit (35).
