A secret or concealed deck plank fastener including a tongued plate adapted to be inserted into opposing grooves of adjacent deck planks. The plate having complementary gripping means to engage an opposite fastener wherein the opposing fasteners are tied together and when fixed to the bearer, resist forces tending to move and separate the deck planks. A method of use thereof.
