- 14 Abstract A panel mount including: a body having a panel receiving slot, the body further including: a base having an associated footing for enabling attachment of the mount to a substrate; first and second spaced arms extending from the base to define said slot there between, the slot having first and second opposed slot surfaces defined by said respective first and second arms and a connecting region on the base there between; the arms each having a respective first or second external surface generally parallel to the slot and one or more respective first or second edge surfaces extending generally transverse to the slot. Also included is at least one clamping insert associated with one of said first or second arms retained at least partially within a recess provided in the corresponding slot surface, the clamping insert including a clamping surface that extends generally parallel to the panel receiving slot, at least one first adjustable fastener means set in an edge surface of the corresponding arm operable in a direction generally parallel to the slot, and force diverting means to convert the movement of the fastener disposed generally parallel to the slot, to a transverse force on the insert to directly or indirectly move the insert toward the slot.
