Abstract Two or more of the water tanks 10 to be joined to each other, to expand the water storage capacity for a building site. A liner 20 is disposed in the openings 16 of the water tank 10. The pair of openings 16 from two adjacent water tanks 10a are joined to each other via a joining strip 30. In use, two or more water tanks 10 are used to provide the desired combined volume of water storage.
