Improvements in Relation to Erection of Buildings
Abstract A method of erecting a building comprising: - constructing at a first level a roof structure of said building said roof structure 5 having support members hingedly attached at its perimeter, - lifting said roof structure to its final installed height, and - removing the lifting gear. During the lifting, said support members swing, from a generally horizontal orientation, outwards to relocate to a generally vertical orientation. Upon reaching 10 said vertical orientation, the base of each said support member is rigidly fastened to a respective preformed footing and the top of each said support member is rigidly fastened to said roof structure to thereby support said roof structure. The lifting is achieved using a crane and lifting gear engaged with arms extending outwards from said roof structure. I- L QD el Cc) C\4 Lp
