A Railway Track Safety System
Abstract The present invention is directed to a railway track safety anchor 10 adapted to secure to a railway track 12. The safety anchor 10 comprises a bracket 14 designed to secure to an underside or lower flange 16 of the track 12. The safety anchor 10 also comprises an anchor member 18 connected to the bracket 14 to provide either fixed anchorage from the anchor member 18 or sliding anchorage from a safety line 20 connected between a pair of spaced apart brackets such as 1 CA and 1 OB. In both scenarios a user is coupled to either the anchor member 18 or the safety line 20 via a lanyard and typically a karabiner or other suitable coupling. Fig. 1 30 50 42 24 32 26 36 28 40 Fig. 2
