Food waste treatment apparatus
Disclosed is a food treatment apparatus. The food treatment apparatus includes a housing to define a space for dehydration and drying of food waste, the housing having an inlet port for introduction of the food waste and an outlet port for discharge of the food waste having been subjected to dehydration and drying, a cylindrical dehydrator to remove water contained in the food waste by centrifugal force inside the housing, the dehydrator having a communication hole in communication with the inlet port or the outlet port via rotation thereof, an agitator installed in the dehydrator so as to be rotated simultaneously with or independently of rotation of the dehydrator and serving to selectively open or close the communication hole and to agitate and grind the food waste inside the dehydrator via rotation thereof, and a drier to dry the food waste by supplying dry air to the housing.
