A side roller has a roller member. The roller member is rotationally supported, with a ball bearing, by a shaft member 5 projecting from a side section of a chain and rolls as the chain moves. A sealing chamber is formed at a position that is between the roller member and the shaft member and closer to the chain than the ball bearing is to the chain. Two oil seals, which seal, with elastic force, the gap between the 10 roller member and the shaft member, are located in the sealing chamber and arranged adjacent to each other in the axial direction of the shaft member.
