A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Embodiments generally relate to a pinned connection assembly for connecting a support column to a support structure and to base members for such pinned connection assemblies. The pinned connection assembly may comprise: a base member; a plurality of connecting members, each having a respective aperture; and a pin. The pinned connection assembly is arranged such that when the connecting members are positioned within receiving portions of the base member and the pin is received within each of a plurality of respective apertures of the base member and the connecting members, the pin defines the pivot axis about which each of the connecting members is pivotable.
