Abstract The present disclosure relates to a pivoting and sliding door assembly for installation within an opening of a building. The pivoting and sliding door assembly comprises an outer fixed frame comprising at least one side frame member, and upper and lower 5 frame members, at least one of the upper and lower frame members including a first track arrangement; at least one inner frame pivotally connected to the outer fixed frame about an axis parallel to the side frame member, and moveable between an open and closed position, the inner frame including a fixed panel and a second track arrangement which is moveable into alignment with the first track arrangement when in the closed 10 position, at least one sliding panel moveable between a retracted position on the second track arrangement within the inner frame and an extended position on the first track arrangement within the outer fixed frame when the inner frame is in the closed position; wherein the inner frame is moveable to an open position when the sliding panel is located in the retracted position within the inner frame. ro ro It co rJ Cr- ItC rCJ I' __ ___ co ----------- , r -- --- --- - co coC w LZ < Ti cCC4
