Abstract A system for controlling ground water in soil surrounding a building foundation, the system comprising a plurality of electrically conductive members that extend into the soil, including first electrically conductive members that are each positioned outwardly of the periphery of the foundation and each include an elongate hollow tube portion having a tube wall that defines a tube cavity and holes formed therein to allow water to pass from the soil into the tube cavity; a current source for supplying an electrical current to the conductive members to generate an electrical field in the soil that draws water from the soil beneath the foundation towards the first conductive members and into the tube cavities; and a moisture management system that is arranged to extract water from within the tube cavities of the first conductive members, and displace extracted water away from the building foundation. -4113 .. .. .. -- ---- -- , -- - let co ---- ---- ---- - --- ----------- ----- +
