MULTI-LIDDED DISPENSING CARTRIDGE SYSTEM A dispensing system, comprising: a cartridge (20) comprising: a body (34) having an exterior and a plurality of bins (32); a plurality of lids (30) movably attached to the body (34), the lids (30) having closed positions wherein the lids (30) cover the respective bins (32); and a connector having contacts exposed on the exterior of the body (34); wherein the cartridge (20) is configured such that the lids (30) cannot be opened except by receipt of a command signal by the cartridge (20) through the connector; and a cabinet (10) comprising: a housing (11) having a docking location configured to accept a cartridge; a docking connector attached to the housing (11), wherein the housing (11) is configured such that the docking connector connects to the cartridge connector when the cartridge (20) is placed on the docking location; and a controller coupled to the docking connector, the controller configured to send the command signals to the cartridge (20) via the docking connector to open one or more of the lids (30).
