REDUNDANT ACTUATION LOCK DECOUPLING SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A redundant actuation lock apparatus 100 is disclosed including an interface 110, an electronic mechanism 120-138, and a manual mechanism 140 154. The interface 110 manipulates lock bars into a locked/unlocked position and the electronic mechanism 120-138 includes an actuator 130 and power drive 120. The actuator 130 is disengageably coupled to and drives the interface 110. The power drive 120 is coupled to and drives the actuator 130 in response to a control signal. The manual mechanism 140-154 includes a key input 140 and an output 150. The key input 140 receives and rotates with a mechanical key and the output 150 disengageably couples to the interface 110 and rotates with the mechanical key. The actuator 130 is engaged with and the output 150 is disengaged from the interface 110 in an electronic mode. Further the actuator 130 is disengaged from and the output 150 is engaged with the interface 110 in a manual mode. FIG 1 FOR PUBLICATION cm T o .1
