Remedial Ground Drainage of Outdoor Sites
Abstract A method of controlling the subterranean water content of an outdoor site includes the steps of locating the body or path of the subterranean water at the site, sinking a bore to the water impervious layer beneath the ground over which the water flows or stands, and pumping the subterranean water from the bore to reduce the quantity of subterranean water available for wicking into the soil above the water impervious layer. Pumping is intermittent but continues for the life of the building. 1'0 ~ i t3
