An interconnected aluminum extrusion assembly including a first common extrusion having opposed channels receiving respective elongate elastomeric members wherein ends of a number of the aluminum extrusions are held between said elongate elastomeric members to thereby hold them to the common extrusion. The assembly may comprise at least one post and a plurality of rails. In one embodiment of the invention each post comprises an extruded aluminium member formed with a U-shaped profile and a face plate in snap lock engagement with the U-shaped profile for closing thereof.
