A FIRE RESISTANT BARRIER Abstract There is provided a fire resistant barrier (100) comprising at least one insulation layer (105) comprising an engineered wood material of high thermal resistance to reduce thermal flux 5 through the fire resistant barrier (100) and at least one refractory layer (110) adjacent the at least one insulation layer (105).
