The present invention seeks to solve this problem using complimentary shaped wedged packers that can be assembled with ease, and which can be adjusted with equal ease to produce a desired packer size. The design also allows any excess size to be quickly removed. Details in the design of the construction packer assemblies of the present invention provide for incremental thickness 10 adjustment and an assembly that remains assembled during thickness adjustment.
