A shim (200, 200') for use with a wear member (102) is provided. The shim (200) comprises a body (204, 204') that defines a first aperture (206) and second aperture (216) that each includes a closed end (208, 218) and an open end (210, 220), wherein each aperture is defined by at least three surfaces including two side surfaces (212, 212'), (222, 222') and at least one surface (214, 224) that defines the closed end (208, 218) and that further defines a surface normal (N, N') that points toward the open end (210, 220), and the surface normal (N) of the first aperture (206) forms an angle (β) with the surface normal (Ν') of the second aperture (216) that is greater than zero degrees.
