Apparatus and method for treating gypsum
[Problem] With respect to a fluidized bed type apparatus and method for treating gypsum, the purpose of the invention is to enhance or improve fluidity of gypsum powder and promote the effects of treatment of gypsum such as reforming or homogenization of the gypsum powder. [Solution] This gypsum treatment apparatus (1) includes a reactor (2), a conditioned air supply port (6), a horizontal partition wall (5) that causes conditioned air flow (Af) to flow upward into a reaction area (α), and a plurality of fixed blades (10) that are arranged at angular intervals in the peripheral direction of the reaction area. A fluidized bed (M) of calcined gypsum (Gb) is formed inside the reactor. The fixed blades deflect conditioned air flow (Ag) flown upward into the reaction area radially outward and in the peripheral direction of the reaction area. The calcined gypsum (Gb) flows by saltation or moves by saltation inside the reactor due to the conditioned air flow.
