-9 Abstract A plate member (10) for spanning between ends (19) of spaced apart joists or trusses (12), the plate member (10) including: a top section (22) adapted to locate with tops (14) of the joists or trusses (12); a free end section (26) arranged toward bottoms (16) of the joists or trusses (12) relative to the top section (22); and a intermediate section (24) arranged to extend at least partially along and attach with the ends (19) of the joists or trusses (12) between the top section (22) and the free end section (26), wherein the free end section (26) is angled relative to the side section (24) so as to extend outwardly away from the ends (19) of the joists or trusses (12).
