Skirting board assembly, method of installing a skirting board assembly, and a wall
A skirting board assembly (10) is provided for securement to a wall construction. The assembly has lower portion (18) and an upper portion (20). One of the portions has a recess (46) and the other portion has a protrusion (34) adapted to extend into the recess, with the portions being movable relative to each other. Shoulder faces (30, 44) of the two portions and a front face (32) of the protrusion together define a front facing shadow-line groove (56). A front face area (36) of the upper portion tapers backwards to form a front recess (88) of the assembly, and has keying ribs (58). This recess is for accommodating plaster (92) which is applied over the face area and over a lower part of a wall panel (72) which is above the assembly. The invention extends to a method of installing the skirting board assembly in relation to a wall construction and flooring, and also extends to a wall including the assembly.
