Gravel spreader for repairing or building a roadway DESCRIPTIVE The invention relates to a gravel spreader for repairing and/or building a roadway, supporting a rear gravel storage hopper (2), a front gravel receiving hopper (3), a gravel transfer assembly (4) from the rear hopper (2) to the front hopper (3) 5 and a front gravel spreading assembly (5). The invention is characterized in that the transfer assembly (4) comprises a rectilinear gravel transfer belt (40) which is capable of extending at an angle on the chassis (6) and under the rear hopper (2) in an intermediate area (23) of its width as far as above a lateral area (31) located to the right (respectively to the left) in the 10 determined width of the front hopper (3), for transferring the gravel on the belt (40) in a rectilinear transfer direction (D) at an angle from the intermediate area (23) to the lateral area (31) of the front hopper (3).
