TAILGATE LOCKING DEVICES
A device for locking and unlocking a tailgate of a vehicle is disclosed. The device comprises an actuator operatively coupled to the central locking of the vehicle, a bracket for mounting the actuator to the vehicle and a mechanical component connected to the actuator to be moved when the actuator is activated, the movement of the mechanical component locking and unlocking the tailgate. The mechanical component may comprises a cam, a barrel or other suitable construction. The mechanical component extends to slide into and withdraws to slide out of the vehicle's original tailgate opening and closing mechanism to lock and unlock the tailgate under the control of the vehicle's central locking. 06. 5 14.00 Figure IC Figure ID
