Improvements in Insulated Metal Doors
Abstract The invention relates to a door, with outer panels of metal sheets, that includes an insulating layer between them, to minimise or prevent unwanted ingress or loss of heat. The components of the door are specifically configured to be resilient, and / or are resiliently connected to one another. This means that expansion or contraction of a given component of the door (especially the outer panels) is substantially confined to that component. The other components of the door, for example the insulating layer, remain substantially stationary and unstressed. The door may therefore be less prone to temperature-related damage or failure.
