WALL ASSEMBLY FIXING MEMBER
A wall assembly fixing member (1) for fixing a wall assembly (14), comprising a frame (16) and cladding (17) fixed to the frame, to a concrete slab (12). The wall assembly fixing member comprises a mounting plate (2) having an upper surface configured for attachment of the mounting plate to the frame, and a lower surface configured for attachment of the mounting plate to the slab. The mounting plate includes an L-shaped guide member (3) which includes a guide surface (3b) for retaining a portion of the cladding when the wall assembly is fixed to the wall assembly fixing member. Because a wall assembly can be fixed to the substrate through the wall assembly fixing member, any discrepancy in the level of the substrate can be adjusted for by independently levelling the mounting plate, for example, by means of a shim. As the guide member is fixed to the mounting plate, any adjustment to the level of the mounting plate will commensurately level the guide member. Thus, the wall assembly, including the cladding, can be adjusted so that it is substantially vertical, and substantially parallel to any neighbouring wall assembly, therefore mitigating against the problems recited above. The guide member facilitates placement of the wall assembly by supporting the external cladding as the wall assembly is manoeuvred into place and whilst the frame is being secured to the mounting plate. 12c 12 3a 22 3b Figure 3
