A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A lifter for use in hoisting a stack of AAC panels simultaneously into position at an elevated location 5 within a building structure includes a main body portion having individual framework members interconnected together to form a generally rectilinear structure of transverse members and longitudinal members. A pair of lifting members, typically in the form of tynes, extend 10 outwardly longitudinally from the body portion for cooperatively engaging lifting retainers, typically in the form of openings, provided in the side edge of each of the AAC panels. A pair of handles extend outwardly longitudinally from the body portion for allowing 15 controlled movement of the lifter to firstly being positioned with respect to the stack of panels and to engage the lowermost panel to support the stack so that when the lifter is raised the stack of panels is lifted in unison. Use of the lifter enables a stack of panels to be 20 lifted simultaneously and individual panels to be deposited one at a time in sequence at the required individual positions within the building structure. 9786163_1 (GHMatters) P105427.AU 12/12/18 CDo Cu.
