A composite sheet material 1 comprising a metal core layer 10 formed from a metal material that is malleable and conformable to a roof surface feature at operating temperatures with local climatic conditions associated typically in the 5 range of 00C - 500C, wherein the metal core layer is encased in a polymeric material 50 having corresponding properties of malleability and pliability, wherein the core metal layer 10 is partially or wholly encased in the polymeric material 50, whereby to form a malleable sheet layer 1 that is adapted to permanently conform to the roof surface features.
