A FRANGIBLE POLE A frangible pole assembly including: a ground sleeve configured to be at least partially insertable into the ground; a pole slidable at least partially within the ground sleeve, the pole having a side wall with a front face relative to traffic; and a restraint assembly to attach the pole to the ground sleeve, wherein the pole includes at least one sidewall aperture located above the ground sleeve providing an area of weakness for break away upon impact.
