Disclosed is a method of providing a roof anchor point 315, 415 on a roof comprising roof cladding 307, 407 and a roof frame comprising structural members 303, 403, the roof frame supporting the roof cladding. Also disclosed is a roof anchor 301, 401 for use in the method. The roof anchor 301, 401 comprises a first portion 310, 410 having at least one fastener receiving hole 316, 416 therein, and a second portion 311, 412 fixedly connected to the first portion. The second portion 311, 412 has at least one anchor point 315, 415 configured to have a tether attached thereto for securing a worker to the roof frame via the roof anchor. The first portion 310, 410, and thereby the roof anchor 301, 401, is secured to the roof frame by installing a fastener 320, 420 through the fastener receiving hole 316, 416 and into one of the structural members 303, 403. When the roof anchor 301, 401 is secured to the roof frame and the roof cladding 307, 407 is installed, all parts of the roof anchor are located underneath the roof cladding.
