Abstract A socket stencil apparatus has a body having a top and bottom surfaces and an interior rectangular stencil through-aperture therebetween. The aperture has a first pair of opposing inner edges aligned along a first axis and a second pair of opposing inner edges aligned along a second axis so as to be usable for marking a rectangle for subsequent cutout. The apparatus has an integral first laser rangefinder operative from a first outer edge of the body so as to be configured for measuring a distance along the first axis and the apparatus further has an integral second laser rangefinder operative from a second outer edge of the body so as to be configurable for measuring a distance along a second axis.
