This invention discloses a preparation of method of an Ag-Ti 3SiC2 composite electrical contact material for high-speed train pantograph. The MAX phase Ti3SiC2 reinforced in composite is a layered ternary structure. After the Ti3SiC2 reinforced material compounded with the Ag matrix, the gridlock effect of Ti3 SiC2 could lock the molten Ag tightly, reducing the splashing phenomenon of Ag matrix and the erosion effect of arc erosion on the contact material. The present invention has the beneficial effects on the performance of high speed train pantograph material in improvement of high temperature oxidation resistance, resistance in arc impact and aborbsorption of arc energy for avoiding arc erosion damage in the process of electrical contact. -1/1 Figure 1
