Abstract AXLE DIFFERENTIAL GUARD A guard (102) for protecting a drain plug (110) and a ground-facing surface (122) of an axle housing (108) on a machine (10) including a first portion (124) and a second portion (128). The first portion (124) has a body (132a) configured to be mounted to the axle housing (108) to protect at least portion of the ground-facing surface (122) of the axle housing (108). The body (132a) includes an opening (150) configured to allow access to and removal of the drain plug (110) through the opening (150). The second portion (128) is removably couplable to the first portion (124). When the second portion (128) is attached to the first portion (124), the second portion (128) covers the opening (150) to protect the drain plug (110). When the second portion (128) is removed, the drain plug (110) is accessible and removable to service oil in the axle housing (108). 1/9 19-0403AU01 cL
