SKYLIGHT WEATHERPROOFING FLASHING TRAY AND METHOD
A weatherproofing flashing tray 10 comprises a generally flat rectangular body 12 which has a central square, round or rectangular opening 14. A structure 16 of the flashing tray body 12 extends upwardly from the opening 14 for a skylight. The upper portion 20 comprises a distal upper edge section 21 which is bent upwardly and back towards the upper surface 26 of the flat proximal portions of the upper portion 20. The upwardly bent top edge section 21 forms part of the waterproofing formation of the upper portion of 20. The side portions 24 each comprise a distal side edge section 25 which is bent downwardly at an angle of between 8° and 90° (preferably 10°) relative to the horizontal proximal portions of the side portions 24. The downwardly bent side edge sections 25 form a first part of the waterproofing formation of the side portions 24. Each side portion 24 further includes a second waterproofing formation, being raised elongate strips 32 extending generally parallel and adjacent to the side edge section 25 thereof. -225 -22 32b 25 32a Figure 5 -20 32b 32a Figure 6
