METHOD FOR SCIENTIFIC ANALYSES OF SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE
The present disclosure relates to a method for scientific analyses of architecture. The proposed green facade retrofit on to the East and the West facing walls of a block has improved the indoor operative temperature and hence, an approximate 15% reduction has been estimated in the building cooling load. An additional 2 m high temporary parapet wall has been recommended on to the existing block to provide extended shading hours to the campus, right from 14:15 hours onwards. The comprehensive acoustic modelling of the latter has given promising results for the Reverberation Time, which is at par with the international standards for performance spaces. The analyses inferred that the state-of-the art design of the existing block and the proposed green facade retrofits will reduce the entire energy demand by 20% and it certainly will provide guidelines to similar structures at tropical metropolises. preparirigand analyzing an architectural model which replicates an entire block 102 validati ng the architectural model ofthe block by conduct ng real time energy audits estimating benefits obtained ifa suitable green fa adels retrofitted on to the East and Westfaci rg walls oftthe block performigdetaileddaylightandshadowanalysesforentireblock performing acoustic analyses of the entire campus including the block andestimating reverberation time by recreating an architectural model of the entire acoustic space Figure Figure 2 Figure 3 Zek ZwI Zwe6 Zes t Zs 2 ZOne I Z Ze1 Zo7 ZZne Z F 20ft 2 ZOe I F Zontreat rlZineaZone GG Groud fl-or Figure4 F 7o7 oe( S e Secondcfr
