Approach towards Water Harvesting and Recharging in Hard Rock Area
Abstract Evaluation of groundwater potential zones can be accomplished by the Geographical Information System (GIS) technique that provides an effective methodology in the context of time, labour and cost. Parameters such as geology, land use/land cover, topography, soil 5 characteristics, lateral lineament and drainage density are very much essential in the study and all can be integrated as a different layer using the GIS platform. The resultant suitability map and the methodology employed in the present disclosure will serve as a guideline for future water management projects. The methodology used in the present disclosure can be applied in other areas of the world experiencing water stress conditions with appropriate 0 modifications. Such endeavours can be used to analyse the potential for artificial recharge in arid zones to ensure sustainable groundwater utilization Bore Blasting Technique can be the effective and real problem solving method for conservation and recharge of water level in basalt rock.
