APPARATUS FOR ANCHORING A FRAME SUPPORT MEMBER
Abstract An apparatus for anchoring an elongate support member of a frame of a playground apparatus to a ground surface comprises a foot for placement on the ground surface. The foot comprises an internal cavity having an uppermost open end and a lowermost open end, wherein the uppermost open end is adapted to receive an end of the elongate support member. The foot is operatively configured to secure the end of the elongate support member in the internal cavity. The apparatus also comprises a screw that is adapted to fit into the internal cavity such that the screw extends through the lowermost open end into the ground surface, wherein the screw and the foot are mutually dimensioned such that the screw engages and bears downwardly on the foot when the screw is turned relative to the foot to anchor the foot to the ground surface.
