There is provided a bed frame comprising a platform, wherein the platform is configured for supporting a mattress. A frame for supporting a cover over the 5 platform, the frame including upright poles connected with substantially horizontal beams. At least one extension beam telescopically associated with at least some of the substantially horizonal beams of the frame.
