Abstract A platform system (10) for working at heights includes a pair of spaced apart ladders (12, 14) supported against a wall, structure or the like is disclosed. A support bracket (30) is attached to a rung (70) of each of the two ladders. Each support bracket includes an engagement means (60) for attachment to the first rung of the ladder for supporting the bracket from the ladder, a base (32), and a post (34, 36) at one end of the base and a further means (94, 90) for supporting each support bracket and transferring load on the support bracket to a different rung (72) of the respective ladder.
