This sound insulation structure of a partition wall comprises: a floor material having a floor surface formed thereon facing an indoor space; a ceiling material having a ceiling surface formed thereon opposite to the floor surface in a vertical direction with the indoor space therebetween; a partition wall extending in the vertical direction so as to separate the indoor space in a horizontal direction, and placed with a gap from at least one surface of the floor surface and the ceiling surface; and a sound insulation material including a portion made from an elastic material and placed in the gap in a vertically compressed state.
