Permanent formwork for staircase construction
A permanent formwork structure 1 includes a pair of spaced apart elongate stringers 2,3 having opposing inner faces 4,5 and which extends longitudinally between an upper end 7 configured to attach to an upper landing and a lower end 6 configured to attach to a lower landing. The stringers 2,3 extend transversely a predetermined waist distance 12 between the lower and upper edges 9,10. A soffit 15 is disposed between the lower edges 9 of the stringers 2,3 which extends from or adjacent the lower end 6 of the stringers to, or adjacent to, the upper end 7. The structure 1 further includes a plurality of risers 20 longitudinally spaced apart between upper 7 and lower 6 ends of the stringers 2,3. The risers are disposed intermediate the inner faces 4,5 of the stringers where the risers 20 include a flange 22 at each side that extends a predetermined distance perpendicularly away from the flange inner face. The riser flanges 22 are configured to be disposed adjacent inner faces 4, 5 of the stringers 2,3 such that the flanges 22 each include at least a pair of fastener apertures 25 configured to be disposed adjacent corresponding fastener apertures 26 in the stringers 2,3 for receiving a fastener 19 therethrough and securing the risers 20 to the stringers 2,3. tK N-- -- ? £0 c~tr To7 An
