A wear assembly for an excavator bucket
Abstract A wear assembly for use with an excavator bucket (20) is disclosed. In one example embodiment, the wear assembly (5) comprises a locating member (25) configured to be securable with the excavator bucket (20), and having an aperture (35) extending through a portion thereof. The wear assembly (5) further comprises a wear member (10) having an aperture (30) extending through a portion thereof, which wear member (10) is configured to be positionable with the locating member (25) such that both apertures (30, 35) substantially align. A releasable attachment mechanism (40) is provided which comprises first (45) and second parts (55), in which the first part (45) is locatable or registrable within both substantially aligned apertures (30, 35) and moveable into positive engagement with the locating member (25). The second part (55) is operable with the first part (45) for generating a retaining force for application to the wear member (10) for retaining same with the locating member (10). Release of the retaining force is enabled by way of the first part (45) being moved out of positive engagement with the locating member (25). Fig 1 -z I -rL L(7
